Healix Receives Positive Technical Feedback During Strategic Engagement with KKM's Digital Health Division

Healix Strategic Engagement with KKM's Digital Health Division

PARAMOUNT Healthcare recently concluded a strategic engagement and technical presentation with the Bahagian Kesihatan Digital (BKD), Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) to introduce Healix, an integrated digital healthcare ecosystem designed to support connected, secure and patient-centred healthcare delivery across Malaysia.

The engagement provided an opportunity for BKD to evaluate Healix's digital health ecosystem, interoperability framework and its potential role in supporting Malaysia's healthcare digital transformation agenda, particularly the national aspiration of "One Individual, One Record."

During the session, BKD provided positive technical feedback on the comprehensive ecosystem developed by PARAMOUNT Healthcare through Healix, particularly its applicability within the private healthcare sector, including general practitioner (GP) clinics, specialist clinics and private hospitals.

Among the capabilities demonstrated were Healix's comprehensive clinical reporting, integrated electronic medical records (EMR), digital consent, transparent financial management through its secure digital wallet, analytics dashboard and interconnected healthcare ecosystem. These capabilities are designed to improve operational efficiency, strengthen clinical workflows and provide greater transparency for authorised stakeholders.

A key differentiator presented during the session was Healix's vision of becoming a secure interoperability bridge between Malaysia's public and private healthcare sectors.

Rather than functioning as a standalone application, Healix is designed to connect healthcare providers across different organisations and technology platforms, enabling authorised healthcare professionals to securely access relevant patient information, regardless of the healthcare facility or system provider, subject to patient consent, applicable regulations and national interoperability standards.

This approach supports continuity of care by allowing patients to move seamlessly between primary care clinics, specialist centres, hospitals, laboratories and pharmacies while reducing unnecessary duplication of medical records, laboratory investigations and diagnostic imaging.

The discussion also covered Healix's approach to electronic medical records (EMR), interoperability, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance. BKD shared valuable guidance on national digital health governance requirements, including interoperability standards such as HL7, healthcare data governance, data residency requirements and technical policies that support secure digital healthcare implementation nationwide.

During the technical discussion, BKD highlighted several strategic characteristics that are essential for future-ready digital healthcare platforms. Healix demonstrated strong alignment with these priorities through its:

  • Cloud-based architecture
  • High-security framework with end-to-end encrypted health data
  • Interoperability across healthcare systems and departments
  • Cost-effective digital transformation approach
  • User-oriented clinical workflow and experience

In addition, Healix demonstrated seamless integration capabilities with multiple healthcare service providers, including diagnostic imaging centres, medical laboratories, pharmacies and other clinical systems. This interoperability architecture enables healthcare organisations to exchange information securely while maintaining compatibility across different providers and technology environments.

The presentation also highlighted Healix's secure digital wallet framework, which supports transparent payment workflows, reconciliation processes and financial visibility for authorised stakeholders. Combined with encrypted data architecture and comprehensive audit capabilities, the platform has been designed to support secure management of sensitive healthcare information while maintaining accountability throughout the care journey.

For the public healthcare sector, discussions focused on the importance of aligning any future implementation with existing operational workflows, governance frameworks and technical standards established by KKM. BKD encouraged PARAMOUNT Healthcare to continue engaging closely with the Ministry throughout future development and implementation activities so that any future deployment complements existing healthcare operations and national digital health objectives.

The engagement further highlighted the value of collaboration between the public and private healthcare sectors, where innovation, technical expertise and interoperable digital solutions can collectively contribute towards strengthening Malaysia's healthcare ecosystem.

PARAMOUNT Healthcare welcomes the constructive feedback and professional guidance shared throughout the engagement and remains committed to continuously enhancing Healix in accordance with national standards, regulatory requirements and the evolving needs of healthcare providers.

Moving forward, the company will continue expanding Healix across Malaysia's private healthcare ecosystem while strengthening interoperability, cybersecurity, clinical integration and patient-centred innovation. PARAMOUNT Healthcare also looks forward to continued collaboration with KKM and healthcare stakeholders in supporting Malaysia's vision of a secure, interoperable and digitally connected healthcare system.
